Every shipment leaving India for an international destination passes through export customs in India and import customs in the destination country. Accurate documentation is the single biggest factor in whether a shipment clears quickly or gets held up — this page explains what we need from you and what to expect.
Some items cannot be shipped internationally at all, and others need special permits or are restricted by specific destination countries. Commonly restricted or prohibited categories include firearms and weapons, narcotics and controlled substances, flammable or hazardous materials, counterfeit or pirated goods, perishable food, live plants and animals, and currency or precious metals. If you are unsure whether an item can be shipped, please check with us before booking rather than after pickup.
Import duties and taxes are set by the destination country's customs authority based on the declared value and category of goods — we do not set these charges and cannot waive them. Unless duties have been explicitly prepaid at booking, they are collected from the receiver at the time of import clearance or delivery.
We prepare the standard shipping and customs paperwork for your booking, coordinate with our customs broker and destination partners, and share status updates through our tracking tool. If a shipment is held at customs, we will let you know what additional document or action is needed to release it.
